الرجل الممل الاكثر اثارة للاهتمام في العالم

كثيراً ما قال الناس إن تييري بويل كان أكثرُ الرجال مللاً في العالم ،لم يكن تييري يعرف لماذا أعتقد الناس أنه مملٍ للغاية ،فهو يعتقد في قرارة نفسه أنه كان ممتعا للغاية ،برغم كل ذلك ،فقد قام بجمع الطوابع وهو يحدث نفسه " ما الذي يمكن ان يكون أكثر متعة من جمع الطوابع؟" ، حقاً إن تييري لم يكن لديه أي هوايات او اهتمامات اخرى ،لكن هذا الامر لم يكن يهمه. فعلى اقل تقدير كانت لديه وظيفة وهي بنظره وظيفة ممتعة جداً ، وقد كان يعتقد انه كان شخص ممتع وهذا يكفيه. قال الجميع أن وظيفته كانت مملة " لكنه كان محاسباً! لماذ يعتقد الناس أن المحاسبين مملون؟".تييري يؤمن بأن وظيفته كانت رائعة ،فهو كان يذهب كل يوم الى مكتبهِ ويشغل جهاز الحاسوب الخاص به ويقضي سبع ساعاتً ونصف في البحث في جداول البيانات وتحريك الأرقام عليها، "فمالذي يمكن ان يكون أكثر متعه من ذلك ؟" لكن في الوقت ذاته تييري لم يكن سعيداً ، كان غير سعيد وذلك لان الناس أعتقدوا انه كان ممل جداً. هو لم يريد أن يكون مملًا. أراد أن يعتقد الناس أنه شخص ممتع للغاية.ولذلك حاول التحدث إلى الناس حول مجموعة الطوابع الخاصة به ولكنه في كل مرة يتحدث فيها كان يرى الناس يشعرون بالملل!! وعندما يرى ذلك منهم يحاول التحدث بمواضيع اخرى كوظيفته مثلاً حتى لا يشعروا بالملل . تييري كان يعتقد أن الناس سيكونون جدا مهتمين عندما يتحدث عن وظيفته ، لكن ، لا ، فالناس ايضاً يعتقدون أن وظيفته كانت مملة أكثر من مجموعة الطوابع الخاصة به ، ففي اغلب الأحيان كان الناس ينامون عندما يتحدث معهم.
فكر تييري في كيفية جعل نفسه أكثر إثارة للاهتمام ،فقد قرر أنه بحاجة الى أن يكون مشهوراً بشيء ما. فكر في مجموعة الطوابع الخاصة به وقرر أن مجموعة الطوابع الخاصة به قد تجعله كذلك . ربما كان لديه أكبر مجموعة طوابع في العالم أو ربما كان لديه طابع قيم للغاية. نعم ، فقد قرر أن هذا الشيء هو الذي سيجعله مشهوراً
كتب رسالة إلى إحدى الصحف المحلية وسألهم عما إذا كانوا يودون المجيء وكتابة مقال عن رجل محلي لديه أكبر مجموعة طوابع في العالم. كتبت الصحيفة المحلية رسالة إلى تييري تخبره أن ملكة إنجلترا لديها بالفعل أكبر مجموعة طوابع في العالم. كان تيري حزينًا جدًا عندما علم بذلك ، لكنه كتب مرة أخرى إلى الصحيفة ، وأخبرهم أنه يعتقد أنه يمتلك الطابع الأكثر قيمة في العالم. وكتبت له الصحيفة تقول له إن أغلى طابع في العالم يكلف 2،240،000 دولار ، وسألته إن كان متأكدًا من امتلاكه لذلك الطابع . لم يكن تيري متأكدًا من أنه كان يمتلكها. في الواقع ، كان متأكدًا من عدم وجوده. ربما كانت مجموعته بأكملها قيّمة للغاية…… ..

فكر تييري في أشياء أخرى ليجعل نفسه مشهوراً. ربما يكون أفضل محاسب في العالم! نعم ، قرر انه سيكون كذلك، أخبر صديقاً له أنه المحاسب الافضل في العالم .
'سأل صديقه ،كيف علمت بذلك ؟
قال تييري: "حسنًا ، لدي عمل جيد ، وأنا احبه ... إنه ممتع جدًا ، ... جداول بيانات ... أرقام ... ضرائب ... تمويل ..." لقد رأى صديقه نائماً أثناء حديثه، فقال: "هممم". ، ربما لم أكن المحاسب ألافضل أو ألاكثر إثارة للاهتمام في العالم.
فقال صديقه عندما استيقظ مرة أخرى: "أسمع تييري". ربما لم يكن لديك أكبر مجموعة طوابع أو أثمنها في العالم. ربما لست أفضل أو أكثر المحاسبين إثارة للاهتمام في العالم. ولكن هناك شيء واحد - تييري ، ربما تكون أكثر رجل ممل في العالم.
نعم! بالتاكيد! كان هذا . يمكن أن يكون تييري مشهوراً لأنه كان الرجل الأكثر مللاً في العالم. الآن رأى أن أصدقائه كانوا على حق. اتصل بالصحيفة مرة أخرى؛
- مرحبا "هل ترغب في إجراء مقابلة مع أكثر رجل ممل في العالم؟"
- اجاب رجل الصحافة "أكثر رجل ممل في العالم؟" الآن هذا مثير للاهتمام!
الأسبوع القادم كان هناك مقال كبير في الصحيفة. "أكثر رجل ممل في العالم!" كانت هناك صورة لتييري في مكتبه. كانت هناك صورة لتييري مع مجموعة الطوابع الخاصة به. كانت هناك مقابلة مع تييري ومقابلات مع أصدقائه. قال أصدقاؤه إنهم ذهبوا للنوم عندما تحدث تييري عن وظيفته أو جمع الطوابع.
في اليوم التالي اتصلت بي بي سي وسي إن إن بتييري. لقد أرادوا قصصًا عن أكثر رجل ممل في العالم. "أكثر رجل ممل في العالم!" قالوا. "هذا ممتع للغاية! "
وهكذا ، أخيرًا ، أصبح تييري بويل الرجل الأكثر مللاً في العالم. لن تجد اسمه في كتاب غينيس للأرقام القياسية ، لأنهم قالوا إنه من المستحيل تحديد مدى ملل شخص ما بالضبط ، لكن لم يكن ذلك مشكلة بالنسبة لتييري. الآن هو مشهور. الآن كان مملًا جدًا لدرجة أنه كان ممتعًا.
ربما لا نملك مواهب او لاشياء ألافضل لنكون مشهورين او مثيرين للاهتمام ربما ابسط ألاشيأء التي نملكها تكون ذات قيمة كبيره ونحن لانعلم فقط نحتاج تسليط الضوء على ألاشياء الخفية داخلنا ولانستسلم لابد من وجود شيء في كل شخص يميزه عن لاخرين
People often said that Thierry Boyle was the most boring man in the world. Thierry didn’t know why people thought he was so boring. Thierry thought he was quite interesting. After all, he collected stamps. What could be more interesting than stamps? It was true that he didn’t have any other hobbies or interests, but that didn’t matter for Thierry. He had his job, after all. He had a very interesting job. At least, Thierry thought it was interesting. Everybody else said that his job was boring. But he was an accountant! Why do people think that accountants are boring? thought Thierry. Thierry thought his job was fascinating. Every day, he went to his office, switched on his computer and spent seven and a half hours looking at spreadsheets and moving numbers around on them. What could be more interesting than that?
But Thierry was unhappy. He was unhappy because people thought he was boring. He didn’t want to be boring. He wanted people to think that he was a very interesting person. He tried to talk to people about his stamp collection. But every time he talked about his stamp collection he saw that people were bored. Because people were bored when he talked about his stamp collection, he talked about his job instead. He thought people would be very interested when he talked about his job, but, no, people thought his job was even more boring than his stamp collection. Sometimes, people even went to sleep when he talked to them.
Thierry thought about how to make himself more interesting. He decided that heneeded to be famous for something. He thought about his stamp collection and decided that perhaps his stamp collection could make him famous. Perhaps he had the biggest stamp collection in the world or perhaps he had a very valuable stamp. Yes, this was it, he decided.
He wrote a letter to a local newspaper and asked them if they wanted to come and write an article about a local man with the biggest stamp collection in the world. The local newspaper wrote a letter back to Thierry telling him that actually the Queen of England had the biggest stamp collection in the world. Thierry was very sad to learn this, but wrote back to the newspaper, telling them that he thought he had the most valuable stamp in the world. The newspaper wrote back to him, telling him that the most valuable stamp in the world cost 2,240,000 dollars, and asking him if he was sure that he had it. Thierry wasn’t sure that he had it. In fact, he was sure that he didn’t have it. Perhaps his whole collection was very valuable though …
‘Is it worth 10 million dollars?’ asked the man from the newspaper on the telephone when Thierry called him.
‘Erm, no, I don’t think so …’
‘Forget it then,’ said the man from the newspaper.
Thierry thought about other things to make himself famous. Perhaps he could be the best accountant in the world! Yes, this was it, he decided. He told a friend that he was the best accountant in the world.
‘How do you know?’ asked his friend.
‘Well,’ said Thierry, ‘I have a good job, I like it … it’s very interesting … spreadsheets … numbers … taxes … finance …’ He saw his friend going to sleep. ‘Hmmm,’ he thought. ‘Perhaps I’m not the best or the most interesting accountant in the world.’
‘Listen, Thierry,’ said his friend when he woke up again. ‘Perhaps you don’t have the biggest or the most valuable stamp collection in the world. Perhaps you aren’t the best or the most interesting accountant in the world. But there is one thing – Thierry, you are probably the most boring man in the world.’
Yes! Of course! This was it. Thierry could be famous because he was the most boring man in the world. Now he saw that his friends were right. He phoned the newspaper again.
‘Hello!’ he said. ‘Would you like to do an interview with the most boring man in the world?’
‘The most boring man in the world?’ said the man from the newspaper. ‘Now that’s interesting!’
Next week there was a big article in the newspaper. ‘The Most Boring Man in the World!’ There was a picture of Thierry in his office. There was a picture of Thierry with his stamp c
ollection. There was an interview with Thierry and interviews with his friends. His friends said they went to sleep when Thierry talked about his job or his stamp collection.
The next day the BBC and CNN called Thierry. They wanted stories about the most boring man in the world. ‘The most boring man in the world!’ they said. ‘That’s so interesting!’
And so, finally, Thierry Boyle became the official Most Boring Man in the World. You won’t find his name in the Guinness World Records book, because they said that it was impossible to decide exactly how boring somebody is, but it was no problem for Thierry. Now he was famous. Now he was so boring that he was interesting.
